Choosing your accessory
The width of the collar/harness
An unsuitable width can lead to various problems: rupture , osteoarticular problems , strangulation , etc.
- For small breeds (under 10kg) : Maximum 25mm . A thicker strap can become uncomfortable or even irritating, as well as being too heavy for smaller specimens.
- For medium breeds (10 to 20kg) : 25mm minimum up to 38mm . If you decide to go for a smaller width, your dog may strangle or injure himself.
- For breeds over 20kg : Minimum 38mm . If you decide to go for a smaller width, your pooch risks strangling, injuring himself and it is not suitable in terms of resistance.

The length of the leash
- Simple leashes :
1m10 : Large/medium dogs.
1m50 : Large/medium dogs.
1m80 : Large/medium/small dogs.
- Multi-position leashes
1m90 : Large/medium dogs.
2m50 : Large/medium/small.
And yes, small dogs are further away from you than big ones! So it's best to opt for a longer leash.
- Leash width :
19mm : Medium/small dogs.
25mm : Large/medium dogs.
25mm leads may be too heavy for smaller dogs, so it is advisable to opt for a thin lead.
Conversely, a leash that is too thin will not necessarily be suitable for larger sizes because it is less resistant than a wider one.

Take measurements
Take the neck circumference
There are two methods for taking measurements of your little one's neck:
1. With a sewing meter or thread : Place it around your pet , in the middle of the neck . You should still be able to pass 2 fingers between the neck and the meter/thread.
2. Take your little one's usual collar and measure it from the buckle to the hole through which the buckle passes once closed.
Taking measurements for a Y-harness
1. Chest : Measure from the point of the chest to the withers .
2. Back : Measure from the withers to the elbows.
3. Chest : Measure a few centimeters behind the elbows , going around the chest of the little one.
4. Belly : Measure from the point of the chest to the level of the elbows .
Taking measurements for an X-harness
1. Neck : Measure from the point of the chest around your wolf , passing through the withers .
2. Chest : Measure a few centimeters behind the elbows , going around the chest of the little one, passing through the withers .
3. Belly : Measure from the point of the chest to the level of the elbows .
